New apartment found!

As usual, God works in mysterious ways! We have an apartment in an even MORE convenient location, for LESS money, and it's even BETTER than the other apartment. I'm always amazed at how things turn out in life. I've been trying to be relaxed about this whole process, so maybe that has helped.

Well, the owner pulled out of the contract, so we're back to square one on the apartment search! In all my research of the Arabic world, I learned that things move differently than here in the U.S. I'm learning to be more patient every day!! Good times.

Our apartment!

We have an apartment!! The school sent us photos and info on Cairo apartments in the Maadi neighborhoods and after a lot of thinking, I decided to go ahead and take the plunge! I am soooo glad we will have a place ready for us when we arrive August 12th. It fits my requirements, which are pretty basic: Plenty of room, good views with two balconies, and spartan decorating (I love shopping and I don't like conflicting patterns). Oh, and of course, it's within the $600 range, which is what the school pays for rent, so it falls within my budget as well. I can't wait to see it in person.
